Looking for a baby Senegal, dont really see much on the internet about them. I have heard that they are harder to keep. If anyone knows where i can get one let me know. Also anymore info on them would be great. Thanks

There is very little information on the internet (as you know)...
http://adcham.com/html/taxonomy/species/chsenegalensis.html
http://apt.allenpress.com/aptonline/?request=get-abstract&issn=1042-7260&volume=032&issue=01&page=0115

I have kept quite a few WC Senegals over the years but never hatched eggs from them (never had any eggs...so I couldn't even try). Although they are said to be difficult to keep in captivity, I didn't find them to be any more difficult than WC pardalis. They do need to be kept well-hydrated though. Although it is said that they carry heavy parasite loads, I have not had a problem with that either. Maybe I was just lucky?

Where are you located? There are four females available locally to me, in Victoria BC
I keep panthers. I was thinking about getting a senegal, but am also concerned with the apparent lack of info out there. I dont want to be on the "bleeding edge" - prefer to build on what others have learned first!

You asked..."Where are you located?"...Ontario.

You said..." I was thinking about getting a senegal, but am also concerned with the apparent lack of info out there. I dont want to be on the "bleeding edge" - prefer to build on what others have learned first!"...there is definitely a shortage of information on the Senegals out there. I can tell you how I've kept them....but its no guarantee! I don't consider myself to be an expert by any means!
