My enclosures-ventilation help needed

ronald_durst Jan 10, 2007 09:06 PM

so i just recently moved to a toenhouse where im not allowed to have any pets at all. I got rid of most of my little critters. but i kept 3. They are my babies and i had to have them. So iended up going from glass aquariums to sterilite containers to try and hide them. You know, make them look like more junk i have in the closet.

But since i got the enclosures ive been wondering if the holes i drilled provide enough ventilation. I set up a fan for ventilation in the closet...jus to get the air flowing...

So here are the pix of their enclosures. I put heat pads at the bottom on one side.

Take a look and tell me what you think. THe holes you see in the plastic goes all the way around and on top.

Got any ideas for better if need be? Thanks

I'm not sure exactly what policies your landlord has, but usually they can't enter your apartment/townhouse/etc. without giving you at least 24 hours notice (which would usually be enough time to make everything look on the up and up). I think using the sterilite containers is smart though, because if you get that phone call that the landlord will be there the next day, those look much less conspicuous.

As for ventilation, reptiles need much less ventilation than you would think. As long as you're going in there everyday or two to change the water and spot clean, you don't need a whole ton of ventilation.
