Rescued Borneos.....the story....

Jasin Jan 11, 2007 10:49 AM

Long story short. I took these from a guy who was not taking care of them at all.....needless to say, I was P*SSED when I showed up at his house to get them. I was led to believe they were "as big around as your thight". Well I showed up, and almost puked, and beat his A&&......I have had them for 4 months, and they are finaly looking somewhat normal(to post pics of any way). They were so thin that you could see ribs, backbone and all, covered in 2 or 3 stuck sheds, and very weak muscle tone. The only thing they didn't have were mites, surprisingly enough!!
Well, they are eating well, and putting on weight, and I am only feeding them one Med to lg rat a week, as I was afraid too much food would shock their poor systems since they were starved for so long. I payed way too much, they should have been free, but I could not leave them with this guy!! Their heads are beautiful, and they are docile, so that's a plus....what do you think??

Atleast they have a good home now. So he didn't want to take care of them, but still wanted a bunch of money for them? Huh, just shows you that people have there own peragotive in keeping animals. I can only imagine what they looked like when you got them if you've had them for 4 months! Way to go though, I wish they all ended up in good hands.

I realy should have taken photos for you to understand how bad off they were. Like I said, they should have been free, just going to a good home, but I think the guy had a little drug issue going on, and he was not letting them go for nothing. I am not kidding when I say RIBS AND BACKBONE!! Their skin was hanging off of their bodies, it was disgusting. Anyhow, they are doing well now.
