Vertical ten lighting

geckguy Aug 09, 2003 06:52 PM

What type of lighting to put on a vert. ten, I have lots of 18 inch lights but there to big for the top. I was going to make a vertical ten for a temporary setup for a pair of imitator I am getting next weekend, but could I just keep them in a ten instead of a vertical ten until november when I am going to get them a 30 extra high. And how long do you wait between the first hatch of hydei and using them to setup new cultures.

Hi,
I used a 2x13 watt compact flourescent light kit from AH supply for mine but when the 10 got a crack in it I made a different sized hood for the lights and now use them over my 20h vert for the imitators.Everything seems to be growing great so they are great lights to use.
