Something of a timeline as promised a couple of days ago for this little whiteside Brooks.
First picture from October, feeding on two pinks.

For scale, I guess. This thing I thought was long and skinny. Slimmer than a regular Brooks would be, to me.

From November, feeding multiple pinks and fuzzys put some weight on a bit already.

This was yesterday, after a small mouse. He was able to move right up to these quickly. This shows how he’s fattened up- especially with the mouse bulge.

And another showing his very pink tongue, and how handsome he is becoming. His pattern down the back seems to be fading a lot already. Maybe males are normally lighter than females? I think that is true of most Brooks, isn’t it?

This guy is big enough for breeding now, eh? He’s over twenty inches!
Good luck to anyone working with these guys- they are pretty cool.
Thanks for looking.
