I need to sex a White Sided Bull. It's about 5 months old and is already eating hoppers. I have a probe set but I'm afraid to do it since it's still a small snake. I can post a picture tomorrow, I fed it last night. Is there a way to count the scales back from the vent? The tail seems short.
How do you pop them without hurting them?
I'm hoping it's a female since I have a male coming in next week.
I was just wondering, If you were intending to breed your White Sided Bull that you already have. Why would you buy another without knowing the sex of the first one? 
Females tails get very narrow just after the cloaca while the males gradually taper off.... can you post an image of yuor snakes tail from the underside?
