Obese Albino....

TheLazyLeopard Jan 11, 2007 09:58 PM

I recently picked this big bell albino girl up at the last White Plains show. She was SO fat when I first saw her she almost left me speechless. So me being me I imediately bought her, brought her home, and put her on a strict diet. Hopefully she'll start loosing weight soon. You know that "fat armpit syndrome" leos sometimes get when their overweight? Well, her's actually drag when she tries to walk around, which seems pretty difficulf for her to begin with. For some reason she doesn't look as big as she really is in this pic. Either way, i've fallen in love with her already, I actualy think she looks cute like this. lol Lemme know what you think!

Definately need to be put on a diet. You should decrease the amount of food intake gradually since loosing weight, or gaining weight, really fast is bad.

Anyway, she's a nice looking leo!

Good advice already given, but I wanted to add: Thanks for noticing she's overweight! The first time I saw a gecko that big in person the owner (now a herp vet student) had no idea that was "too big". My friend's gecko, a he, looked so uncomfortable! A few month later of less crickets and he was happier and much, much more active. Good luck with yours, I'm sure tapering crickets and lots of care and she'll be running the show soon. You'll have to post us before and after pictures, like a weight loss site!

How could someone NOT realise that's too fat!

She's definitely a cutie, but that's just TOO much weight for her little legs!
