Sulcatas foods and...

i got a c/b 5 in sulcata the other day from a family that was moving, they told me he likes the yumms that pet marts sells there like treats they got grass land and catus i did not buy them when i saw them up there but has anyone used these befor??? and i use rep-cal food here and there but is that muzzia food better???? (petmarts sells) i do feed greens also
any tips on food would be great thanks i post pic latter

I've been a member of a sulcata group for a long time, I joined it 4 years ago when we took in our girl.. many of the members are owners of tax excempt rescues. They have said that the yummies have good ingredients & are ok to use. I don't use them because my girl is large & we live in a subdesert that is very similar to her homeland so we let her eat what comes naturally.

On the other hand - is that Mazuri pellet you're talking about?
I know there are some who don't agree with me on this but really...compare the ingredients of that tortoise pellet to dog food- it's not that much different.
Lots of hay/grasses/grass hay, cactus, & some greens like dandelions are much better for your tortoise than a pellet is.
I don't know what my tortoise was fed before she was found but if it wasn't tortoise pellet it was dog food & this is what she looked like the day she got here.. she was pitiful:
