Can someone help me with some questions pertaining to genetics.
I understand that heterozygous is havin a recissive gene and homo is a normail or a pure albino. I am having a hard time understanding Super?
Also recessive means you must have 2 hets correct? Dominant is something they either have or dont have like salmon? So then what is co dominant?
can someone please help and maybe use some known examples?

Recessive - less expresive than the normal gene, to show the trait must have two of the recessive genes.

Domi9nant - more expressive than the normal gene, will show even if only one dominant gene is present.

Super - herper slang typically used to describe an animal with two dominant genes

Codominant - More expressive than a normal gene AND when two codominant genes are present then a third phenotype is shown. Example Motley:
0 motley genes = normal looking boa
1 motley gene = typical blocky motley pattern
2 motley genes = purple patternless

Phenotype - a distinct physical appearance. Example albino has two phenotypes, normal and albino.

Het or heterozygous = having two different genes within a gene pair. Tyoically one morph and one normal.

Homozygous = having both genes within a gene pair the same. Like Albino, if it looks albino then it is homozygous albino, if not then it could be het albino or homozygous normal

All examples used are BCI examples.
