Sorry just listen to the greatful dead and jammin out, I just want to tell you guys how glad i am to see all the brooksi post, ive only been keeping herps like 6+ yrs this trip and brooks are the best in my opinion, as ive mentioned im not up to par with the rainers and noctoms of the forum but ive been around for a bit and i tell you still to this day ive never had a corn snake that i could get to feed, had several balls die due to ignorance/ not feeding. But those brooks are another story, everyone ive seen would eat out of the box and the 2 times ive ever lost one, well one was ups not me, the other my lil bro never gave it water while i was hospitolized with and ulcer. Sorry about the rambling alot of words to say I feel brooksi desrve best begginer snake without a doubt

That would be my theme after looking at myself in the mirror lately, sigh…
As documented by the names you dropped in your post, Brooks are not just preferred by beginners, but preferred by guys who have been keeping all kinds of snakes for a long time. I have yet to figure out what’s not to like with them? I have some snakes that might as well be venomous they are so quick to strike, I care for them in almost exactly the same way I would a “hot”. They are really not much fun to deal with. My Brooks and Goini are so easy going and seem so logical- letting me do my maintenance for them, they really make it hard to work with other types. Especially with so many morphs and future developments you could be contributing to.
Just thought I’d mention this- there are a lot of new people posting here and I think it is great. I was worried when we lost some long time regulars, but I think the future is looking good for the good ol’ kingsnake forum.

Here’s a cross between my two favourites-
Goini x Brooks
