So for the past night or two in Austin it's been warm enough for Rosco to stay outside in his house at night since it hasn't been below 60.
I've heard people talking about a cold front coming in so I checked a couple of weather websites and everyone said it's coming in on Monday but we will have isolated thunderstorms. No big deal, he'll stay dry in his house and it's not cold.
Well, after some major storms last night I get up and there's Rosco outside near the entrance to his house. He's soaking wet, and it's 45 degrees outside. Cold front came in a couple days early.
My girlfriend and I dried him off, wrapped him in a warm towel fresh from the dryer, and used a blow dryer with a diffuser and on the low setting to warm up his legs & such. He's been reacting to the warmth, his eyes are open and he's looking around, and has strength enough in his legs to stand up but hasn't made an effort to walk.
Right now he's stretched out under a ceramic heating element so he's making an effort to warm himself up. I just have no idea how long he was out of his house getting wet and cold. We'll have to keep him a bit warmer inside for the next few days so he doesn't get sick I guess.
What a morning... and I'm still in my PJs.
