guess nobody's kept track that well at 4 months. i was kind of wondering if anyone thinks 24" is on the big side for a CRB just under 4 months old. i don't have a scale or i would post her weight also, she does have some girth to her. but i'm always hearing of and seeing them and other species of rainbow being smaller at her age.

You're CRB may not be a record size snake, but it sure seems like a healthy one! After talking with others(outside this forum) who have kept CRBs, it seems to me that CRBs just grow very quickly. To give you an idea about how fast they grow, my CRB, Rocky, is slightly over a year old and measures 3.5 feet.

...I have not raised up very many CRBs and none were recent but I do remember that when little they grow quickly like little BRBs. Growth of from 1 to 2 inches per month for the first 12 months is typical for both subspecies. At around 4 feet in length the CRBs slow down or start getting heavy if fed a lot while the BRBs will keep the fast growth going until around 5 feet in length. Baby CRBs are usually around 16 inches at birth.
