Well not so new I’ve been here for going on three years but this room is finally coming together. The oak cabinets house an incubator and a deep sink. A rack for eight boxes sits pretty conveniently between the two units.

Here is a pick of two stacked racks of eight each. A neonate rack, in the planning, will be set on the platform to the immediate left. The room is ten by ten and I have cage space for a total of 28 breeders.

Are those melamine racks, and where do you get those low profile glass cages? I used to see those a lot on the West Coast, but haven't been able to find any now that I'm on the East Coast. They are great for small Colubrids and terestrial geckos.

Here is a link to a company that I brought those ˝ tanks from. They are very convenient, the only problem is they don’t use tempered glass. I have had bottoms of some crack from a heating pad getting too hot. They do a lot of shows in the North East (White Plains NY), there’s a list on their website of what shows they do. You can order what you want and pick it up at a show near you, and save the delivery fee.

Yes they are melanine rack. I had a guy from Northern VA build them for me. Not the best racks in the worlk but they do the job and are easy to keep clean. antr1 provided the link to the guys i got the cut down 10 gallon size tanks from. Mine are glass but they also make a poly cage which is a bit more durable though not as clear. I use mine for my hypo scarlet king project and for display cases when I do shows. They have proved both versitil and inexpensive.
I wish my herp room was that organized. The utlity sink is a nice touch too. Thanks for the inspiration Tony. Are you going to the Feb. 24 Hamburg show? If you are I'll finally get to meet you.

Tony:
Very nice setup. I have the same framed Tell Hicks willardi study, sitting just above my desk next to a big map of Mexico.
Cheers,
Bob
I love that print! I've only recently started looking at putting some art work in the room but it is a nice touch. So far all I have is the one mentioned, some amphib pics and a few carvings by Ben Greishaw. Pretty much limiting the subjects to things I DON'T keep.
Nice snake room Tony and thanks for the invite...you cook a mean burger. By the way, we had a nice long 45 minute drive home w/ both kids screaming at the top of their lungs.....talk a bout fun!!!
I'm going to post a pic later today of the VR orange leonis male I've got that looks like a twin to the one you have. After I got home, I was looking at that snake and it is darn near identicle in size, color, and markings.
Looks like it's going to be snake weather today 75 degrees and sunny.
Tkae care,
Russ
Man that surprises me, I'd have thought they wouldn't have made it to the main road! Mine two were wound up too. I keep chuckling about how the dog sent your boy flying. Still amazed he didn't cry. That's one rugged little 3 year old you've got there.
