Anybody else got a favorite

Rat?

I have this rat I just love. His name is big papa, and he has sired at least 1000 pups for me. He is over 3 years old and I would never feed him off to anything, hell I don't even name my snakes, but big papa is the man. Well I was just wondering if anyone else had a rat that they liked as much as their herps. I will post some pics of him after the game.

Yeah,
He is huge! I feed him really well, and he lives like a king. Its so funny, he likes to sit on his butt like a person in a chair and he is wider than tall! Unfortunately he is getting old and starting to develop tumors, but I'm still letting him live the best life a rat can, and will keep his line going for as long as I can.

i used to have a gerbil named Nugget who was my favorite. just a pet and he ended up getting tumors. his brother(butter rum) was so worried about him. finally the tumors took over his eye and i had to put him down. just a few weeks later butter rum died. the vet said they can die of broken hearts i miss them. its funny how you can get attached to something so small and hopeless.

I don't breed rodents anymore, but I use to breed rats in my teens.

I had a male rat named "Mr Ages" and a female rat named "Mrs Frisbee"

I'm guessing you can figure out what book I had just read before I started breeding rats ...

We had three other females as well, but I don't remember their names - only Mr Ages (a black rat) and Mrs Frisbee (an Albino) meant enough to me to remember them.

They did eventually get eaten by snakes - after they died of old ages something like 5 or 6 years (don't exactly remember) after I got them (we started our colony by buying extra juvenile rats - and keeping the most tame ones as our breeders). They had stopped producing at that point and were just pets, and our pythons were now eating rabbits, chickens (which we bred) and ducks (which we bred). But when the rats died, the pythons did slurp down the rats even though they weren't much of a meal.
