medyssa Jan 14, 2007 07:40 PM

I plan on havign three litters this year and I will need a nice sized hatchling rack, or some plan to keep them in, can anyone recommend something(s) that would work?
Links would be great too if you know where to buy them.
Thanks!

Three I bought from the boaphile (black plastic with clear tubs and chrome knobs):

Hey Jess.. racks are the way to go for sure.. If it is not an option for you - the Rubbermaid 6.5 qt or the IRIS 5.4 qt tubs are both great tubs for little brb's. (Rubbermaid can be bought at Lowes and Iris is sold lots of places, check here for more info on that http://www.irisusainc.com/retailers.htm ). Both of these tubs are large enough for a BRB for about the first 4 - 6 months.

The thing that makes these two brands stand out in my experience is that the tops on both of these are pretty secure and if your not use a rack.. it is very important to have something secure. Alot of the tubs in that size range just weren't designed with very secure tops.

You can also check out reptiletubs.com - they have a lot of different tubs to pick from..

If I can build it myself, that would be great, I would just need some plans, if anyone has any or knows where I can get them that would be great and would save me a lot of money.

Also, what size tubs would you all recommend for adults? I am trying to think of how I can condense the size of my racks/towers because I will soon be moving out of my parents house probably into a dinky little apartment in San Jose. Space will most likely be limited.

THANKS!
