A Jungle to behold follow up

tjg Jan 14, 2007 11:38 PM

No to brag, ok maybe a little but I see some jungles for sale that claim exceptional, oustanding blah blah blah and they are asking unreasonable prices. Please view his photo at 2 years old. I sold the remainder of this guys clutch for $25 each. His mom was purchased for $100, and the dad $150 with enclosure. My point is that I believe all jungles are beautiful but there are a select few that command lofty prices and even those can be had for a bargain. Also specimens should be quite vibrant at yearling stage to attain beautiful adults.

That is one Super Nice Jungle, and I wish I was around for the $25....I would have bought them all. I have paid as little as $50 up to $350 for baby Jungles, I think its all in what you like, If I liked the parents and one of the offspring stood out to me for some reason, I easly would fork out the money for the right Hatchling. I think some Jungle Breeders would say why??? WHY would you sell beautiful Offspring for so Cheap? when you could have EASYLY got at least $100-$150 or more for each baby? But thats your business, I know I would have paid more than $25, Hell I would have paid $50 and bought them all...lol

Here is one I paid $50 for

Thank you, your snake looks awesome! Thats a good point I actually wanted to get them to someone that would get them feeding, I also didn't have the resources to maintain 13 babies. I am on the look out for a female and then I will keep the offsring for a year. My point waa also that you don't have to spend $300 to get an awesome jungle.

Eh, to me a price is a price. You pay what the animal means to you. Regardless....that is one beautiful animal!

"Great jungles aren't cheap, and cheap jungles aren't great"....This is what I have found to be true for about 95% of the jungles available. I paid $450 for a hatchling jungle in 2006, and I based it upon the looks of the parents. The hatchling looked nice, but the parents were outstanding. So I had to fork out the cash for the creme de la creme.

Of course, every rule has exceptions like the gorgeous one that you got!!!

Nice Jungle. I believe too that patience is a virtue, if you've been to shows or looked online you have to weed threw a lot of crap to get to the good stuff. I want to definately state that my jungles should have fetched 2 or 3 times what I sold them for but I was on tough times, and actually at one point I could of re-purchased the father for $250 which was a steal, he had some diamond in him.
