I have been dealing with a dying 6 week old all day who finaly died just a bit ago. she got real sick real quick as the young ones sometimes do. it was up on me before i had time to do a whole she was the one who for just no reason stoped eating and everything was perfect. perfect temps perfect substrate perfect basking spots and the best part was a negative fecal exam. the vet was as befuddled as i and with out some very expensive blood work that i was prepared to do we are uncertian what caused her death.

so i am sorry for being short and not very helpfull as i have had a very frustrating and day ending with some sadness.

sometimes guys science looses

While this was a hard time it will serve as a learning experience.

I have my suspicions that her death was caused by a heart/lung defect do to some of her symptoms pre mortem. Very labored breathing/ocular capillary rupture/very light color euphoric in and out of alert states so we will see but thank you all.

That's a real bummer!! Sorry you lost her. Some times we can do everything for them and things like this just happen. We all know you did your best for her. Sorry Mat.

Oh, that's horrible when that happens. We just lost one of our "morph" breeders, Athena. The same circumstances, great environment, everything was perfect... It turned out that she had formed an abcess in her colon that totally blocked her. There was nothing that could have been done. It was very sad. She was one of our first dragons, she was only 2.5yo. That's why her babies are so special to us.

Once in a while we will have a baby die and we figured out that sometimes a peice of dried cricket water will get into the tank with them and they'll eat it! It'll expand and cause an obstruction. We felt so AWFUL!!!!

I feel for you... I hope your other babies are all doing well.
