Scabs on male rat

I have an adult male dumbo that has developed scabs all over his body.I assume they are itchy cause some are bloody..What up with this?.I doubt its mites cause noone else has this problem only my one male..Could it be a food allergy or even too much protien? Anyone deal with this before or have advice..
