Depends on how bad the scale rot is.

Put your snake on papertowel and keep it dry and clean. You can use either betadine or hydrogen peroxide to clean the parts that have the 'rot'. Keep the snake warm and bother it as little as possible so that it doesn't get stressed (and thus take longer to heal).

Pretty much just make sure your husbandry stays excellent.

Not from what I've heard. I believe Reptilicus81 (I think that's spelt right) has first hand experience using it.
If you're unsure then use Betadine.

That I'm not 100% sure on. I got mine at my local feed store, but I'm sure you can also ask at a vet.

Hydrogen peroxide and betadine are found at most drug stores in the first aid aisle. Both substances are dangerous if used incorrectly (especially if swallowed). Hydrogen peroxide is used to clean human wounds as well, and should be diluted with water (50/50 mix). This will help you to avoid causing the snake pain, and staining yourself. I have not personally used betadine on snakes, so for more info on that you will have to ask around. Both of the above substances are used to flush the area of bacteria, but a topical antibiotic (with out pain relief) should be used after cleansing the area. If the belly does not begin to improve, see a vet ASAP! This is a very serious condition which can lead to septacemia(that looks mispelled, but I am too lazy to double check) and even death if left untreated for too long!

Good luck!
