Nice one!
Did you say that she was an 04?
I didn't think that Suris could handle the type of feeding that it took to get that female that size in less than 3 years.
I have female BCI's from 04 smaller by quite a bit!
Have you decided on her future mate yet?

I have a 64 inch, almost 5 pound suriname female who is an early '05 and she has never been pushed at all. She is a perfect eater though. Recently for the very first time in a shed she refused a rat. She usually eats no matter what. She's a real big girl. She's about as big around as a softball or bigger too. Sorr i don't have a current pic but she looks almost the same as danktat's new one. : )

Well get this....."she" probed out to be a "he"....9 scales on one side and 11 on the other.

Probe insertion

Probe next to tail to get scale count

Clearly male...Now that is putting on some size!!

Hard to believe sometimes but fact is fact.
I am still laughing!

There's your proof folks that no matter what the seller says, or what the snake looks like, probe them yourself anyway. ha ha ha

....I am definately keeping him. I was "looking" for a female but even if he were sold as a male I would have bought such a stunning, natural, classic specimine. But I always like to probe myself after a couple of days to settle in. I still have one that was sold as a "male" to me that is probing 7 scales (for a suri you would expect 4 or even 3 for a female - 9 to 12 for a male). No real spurs to speek of and that shallow (even being deep for a female) "He" may be a "she". I will have to prove that out as a sub adult to see if "he" tries to lock up with a female in season or to see if a male tries to lock up with "him".
