Picture of Striped Lavender corn

DonSoderberg Aug 09, 2003 10:33 PM

Long story. We love stories, don't we?

A few weeks ago, I wrote to Walter and reported that I had not been as lucky as he and my pair of double het. for striped and lavenders did not reward me with the target snake(s).

They just shed a few days ago and when I was transferring them to new cages, I found that I was mistaken. I had one male and one female. The male is kinked and has a slightly domed cramium, but both appear to be in good shape otherwise.

The relative lack of contrast on the stripe indicates to me that this will be a somewhat patternless adult. Same with the butter striped corns. They remind me of my striped ghosts. Started out with low contrast and the stripe nearly disappeared at maturity. Just a guess.

Didn't want to steal your thunder Walter, but no matter what happens, you're the first to ever post a striped lavender corn as far as I know. Kudos and I refuse to "race" you on getting these up to size. I know when I'm licked before a race begins.

Just kiddin' Don!

I love seeing these cutting edge snakes! Even if stripes don't trip my trigger.

Congrats!

Wow Don,

That snake must be one silver/purple animal when adult. I hope you will update your galary every now and then with this beauty.

I agree, I hope you update with this one occassionally. It has a nice purply color and will probably be very interesting as a faded stripe later on.

Don, again I would like to send you a big CONGRATS !!! I think it's great that you hit the nail on the head as well. I'm just keeping fingers crossed on my second clutch and hoping to get at least one more.

Here is a recent pic. of my little girl. She is feeding well and doing fine and I hope you have great success with yours.

Thank you very much. It's not only a pleasure bringing new and exciting morphs into the hobby we love so much, but it's fun and exciting doing it and waiting for them to emerge.
