Frogs and Birds?

XxCha0sxX Jan 16, 2007 03:55 PM

I love frogs, but last summer I had to give up my wild caught green frog to a wildlife center to be rehabilitated. This spring, I'm planning on getting a few different species of frogs and toads, but for Christmas I got a quaker parrot. I'm wondering if anyone knows of any serious health risks concerning frogs and parrots? I know to wash my hands before and after handling both, but I can't seem to find any info on cross contamination or anything of the sort. I love my birdy and I adore frogs and toads, and I don't want to put an animal in a situation that is dangerous or unhygienic.

by the way, the attached photo is of my green frog that was rehabilitated.

The attached video deomonstrates one possible hazard. (Especially if you ask any twisted teenage males to help feed your frog.)
