Housing a Baby with my Male & Female

jaym713 Jan 16, 2007 06:10 PM

I was thinking of getting another leopard gecko a baby but i have an Adult Male & an adult Female that have been living together with each other for like 2 yrs would be ok to get a baby and put him in there with them or is it possible the male would bite him or eat him or anything like that?

Generally people suggest to house Leopard Geckos together with similar sizes because sometimes the larger one will bully the smaller one around for food. This can cause a lot of stress for the baby gecko, and there might even be a risk of fights from bullying which could put it at risk.

I'd suggest against it because I've heard stories of the smaller gecko being too stressed to eat.

adult leos will eat pretty much anything that will fit in their mouth. If you must get another leo, get a separate tank
