New and with a question

Hey I'm new here, I bought my first Leo Ezzy in September and every thing was going fine. For Christmas I went home to be with my family and left Ezzy with my boy friend who knew how to take care of her. When I came back last Friday she had grown, and her tail was skinny. Knowing this was a bad sign I immediately jumped into action. Her tail is already starting to look better, but I was wondering what might have caused this,

I have 3 guesses and I’m wondering if some one here could give me a better clue about what happened to her
First our pet store closed and the new one didn’t have crickets for a while so my boy friend was feeding her meal worms that weren’t gut loaded like our crickets normally are

Second the tank wasn’t as moist as it normally was and there was no water out, when I put water back in the tank Ezzy stood in it and drank the water for a long time

Third she almost doubled in size

I’m wondering if these were any of the reasons why her tail shrunk in size? Or should I be worried that something else is wrong?

Also I’m going to try to include a picture if any one knows anything else about her that would be great, mind you this picture is old I think I was taken in November and she has grown quite a bit since then

Thank you so much
Jane

Leos tend to go through a 'lanky' stage as they enter adolescence... as long as she bounces back, and has a good appetite, I wouldn't worry too much.

If you want to make doubly sure, you might want to consider having a round of fecal testing done, to check and see if she's clear of parasites. Fecal flotation will find some parasites, but direct smears and acid fast tests will catch more (including the dreaded crypto) so that would be a good way to rule out any potential health issues.
