I studied Ionides, but...

For years I've wanted a big monitor, and the Ionides were the natural choice. I studied about their care, space and environmental needs, and finally bought a baby. It's growing like a weed, and can now eat at least three hoppers in one feeding. My question is, should I let it eat one after the other until it decides to stop eating? This is an issue I don't remember finding in my readings. Should I offer appropriately-sized rodents every day so she can eat to refusal every day? Her habitat is correct, you just have to take my word for that. That was the easiest part of the research to find information about. I seem to already have found out that they benefit from humid air. I hadn't known that. Now I'm sure there are other facts about their care that I need to learn.

I had this same question myself... I'm not sure what the correct thing to do is. I have been feeding one large rodent a day, and I throw a chick in once in a while (only have 25 left). To my understanding, consistent small meals are better. It can't be good for anything to gorge eat once a day, IMO.
