Nice looking rhino hatchlings ? They look like they are all from the same clutch. Where did you get them ?

I don't know if they are all from the same clutch, but I did get them from the same guy. (Dan M. in AZ) He's got 5 males and roughly 22-23 females. I got to visit his breeding colony and it was soo funny to watch his most dominant male corraling the females and the beta males. He'd stop to let me feed him...total character.
Here is a pic of the type of animals I typically have. The iguanas are definately growing on me. I hope the "cyclura" click is as nice and helpful as tortoise people. he he.
Gorgeous male by the way!! Very regal looking animal.

Hi Barry,
Are you the Barry w/Manouria? I'm the Art w/Manouria...
I think you'll like the Cyclura. I liked my first one enough to get 9 more.
The bonus is the torts & cyclura eat the same stuff and with the same gusto!
Hey Art!! Yep, it's me....How are your manouria? Yes, I'm finding that it's nice having the cyclura eat the same thing as the torts. I can prepare everyone's food at the same time. They are sure fun! I guess my only question is........How do folks get theirs tame? Alot of handling or do they calm down naturally as adults? I know some can remain pretty wild, but I seen quite a few that would come right up to you and let you touch them and feed them from your hand.
Barry
Taming requires bloodshed, er, uh, patience! Handling them while young makes a world of difference. I have one that 'decided' from one day to the next that she was going to change from psycho-lizard to oh-please-pet-me. Another flips a coin; one day she's ok, the next she's bloodthirsty carniv-iguana. Then there's the pair of 'teens' (actually 2 years old)..they have always been calm but don't particularly like to be picked up.
Food seems to work as an incentive to get them to realize you are not going to eat them but it doesn't necessarily get you completely into their good graces.
Feel free to drop me a line...
Good luck & don't give up!
