Cool! I have two grey tree frogs. They don't look the quite same as yours, probably because they are native Texans? The larger one, I think is a female, Lily, turns almost white when she is on the back wall that looks like a light stone and Star, male, I think, usually stays the color of his log, but sometimes turns darker. I have seen both of them go from whitish-grey to charcoal grey, depending on where they are. I know it is supposed to be due to temperature or humidity changes, but I don't think that is it. I think they are camoflaging.

Star's new trick is to sit on my hand and turn from facing me to his bottom facing me, then squirt clear liquid (urine?) about a foot at me. Needless to say, I stick him behind the glass door of his tank as he is turning. I don't pick him up often anyway. Lily's new trick is to try to jump to my chest when the front doors are open. It's kind of freaky but I think she thinks I have food every time the door opens. She isn't interested in fresh water!

Hi Diane, I've yet to notice any real color changes with Gollum. He tends to be a lighter grey when he's sleeping but otherwise he's the same old grey. I only just aquired him last summer. He was hiding out in the live well of my brother in laws boat I like his "song" when he chooses to bless us with it. It does tend to wake up the family in the middle of the night though .
