Here's an odd baby from last year - very pale. It shines silver after it sheds.

Love that baby! Interested to see what happens.

BTW, if you upload your photos onto host site, such as photobucket, it's pretty simple to just copy and paste the IMG urls.

Jack,

Where did you get those. Did they come from me? Just wondering because they look a lot like my adults.

Chris, they are from Tim Gebhard.
Got them in '01 as hatchlings.
Seems like the males are usually redder, but I have a bunch of babies left over to see about that.

Great pics! They have a ton of color in them.

Since you have a photobucket account, it is really easy to post a bunch of pics in one post. Just click on the bottom of the three lines below the pics in photobucket and it automatically copies the link and you can paste it right into your post. This way you can write in between each pic if you want.

Do you have any photos showing the colors close up? The adults look very "brown" from a distance but i bet they are prettier up close.

Tom, I don't have a very good camera, and macro shots are out. I do have other photos of the snakes, though, If you wanna see them.

It's hard to figure out why Baird's haven't become more popular. They are my favorite snake.
Thanks for the comment.
