Brand new and shedding

ratstar Jan 17, 2007 11:27 AM

As you may or may not know I'm new at this, and just got this little thing a few days ago.
Well its starting to shed already. Is there anything I should be doing? I'm trying to read more info on it all right now, but its all happening so fast! I didnt soak it before it started cause I didnt know the signs of when it was going to start, is this a bad thing?

Hey,
Glad you joined the club!! By the looks of the 2nd pic, you should soak him in warm water for a few hours. He looks like he's got a pretty bad stuck shed, and is that a big scar on his back?? Who did you get him from?

Yeah we discussed on my other post about the horrible shop that sold her to me as a Blood Ball Python. (S)He does have some light scarring on its bakc I'm not too worried about it. I just know that me keeping her was better than what she was getting there. I didnt pay a whole lot for it so all the better.

So I can still soak it in water? I thought you had to do that before the shed started?

I'm soaking her right now for a little bit. Do i just do this once? Or do i do it tomorrow too?
