I have bred many other lizards but never chameleons, so this is all new and exciting for me. I thought maybe 2 days was not enough time for Coconut and Cadberry to have been together, I did not see any change in her color, so I got Cadberry and walked him over to Coconuts cage this afternoon, and She freaked at his appearance, LOL

Turned black, and gaped and hissed. I believe this is the color I should see if shes gravid? UGLY BLACK, hehehheee

What do ya think ?

Cinnamon changed from her receptive colors(bright salmony orange) to black and orange stripes after 36 hours with Sniper. This is the coloration I have seen described as gravid coloration for panthers on many websites. She has stayed this color pattern ever since, only varying the intensity of the color depending on her mood. She has also began eating ferociously. She has always been a good eater, but now she doesn't even hesitate, she practically zaps the bugs before they hit the ground. This is also my first experience breeding panthers.

Congratulations on the successful matings! That's the "easy" part...waiting for the eggs and the hatching are much harder!

Thank you, your right this was easy, I did nothing Yep I'm a bit nervous, hehehee. I breed collared lizards, and agamas so forth, so I'm used to the whole egg laying, incubation part.
Just want to make sure all is the way it's supposed to be for this girl when ready. It's important to me that she is okay. Then I'm sure I will worry about the eggs for many, many months, and be overjoyed (providing all goes well) when they begin to hatch.
Then it will be time to worry about all the kids, hehehehe, never ends Kid, LOL

>yeah, that's the part I couldn't handle - the eggs! Remember Ana (blotchie) laid several clutches last summer and none made it but one - and he only lived 6 weeks then died for no reason! I'll let you do all the work, worry, waiting and staying up all night staring at eggs for 9 months! lol!!
