every time i feed vit and min dusted food to my musk it goes away in the water.can they eat on land

They typically won't. Most aquatic and basking turtles act like they can't swallow if out of water.

You should definitely gut load feeder insects, mostly with nutritious veggies. Try to vary the insects' diet as much as you're supposed to vary the turtle's diet. Some of the commercial pellet-type foods are getting better at providing vitamins/minerals. If you do things correctly, you shouldn't really have to give supplements to aquatics. They don't seem to have as many problems as some land-based turtles. If there's a known vitamin/mineral deficiency, you can purchase the liquid vitamin and mineral products currently being offered and inject them. You can use meat marinade syringes available at many outdoor sporting goods stores. Fish and pinkies are good for this. I tried adding vitamin/mineral supplements to my aquatics last year. Not only did it not seem to help, but some actually lost their appetites.
