Which cage to buy?

LordDreyfus Jan 17, 2007 03:07 PM

I am looking at buying more cages for my boas (14-30 lbs). The main cages I am considering are:

1. Boafile Plastics
2. Animal Plastics
3. Vision Cages

I really like the design of the boafile cages. I love the dividable/expandable concept. Will it be as sturdy as the other cages?

If you have a suggestion that is not listed, please let me know.

Look in the Classifieds here on kingsnake.com.

There are a number of cage manufacturers out there now with some fantastic products. Any cage will likely work.

I like cages from Constrictors Northwest (sold at www.beanfarm.com).

Check out Boamaster if you want melamine cages.

Jungle Habitat Plastics has those new sloped-front designs.

For young/small animals I like www.precisioncaging.com and www.herpcages.com.

I would just go with what you like. Maybe get one first to see if it is what you wanted before buying many.

I find Visions to be the toughest but they are also the most difficult to modify, and the glass front and HDPE material make them more difficult to heat if your room is cold. In a warm room it is a non-issue.
