My normal female that was with my hypo male just shed. she ovulated a few weeks ago. I was curious if its ok to remove the male now and put him with another female. thanks for your time

I would keep him with her until he shows no interest in her at all, take him out and try to feed him a small meal and give him some water(keep him seperated from her for two days), put him back with her and see what he does. If there is still no interest within the next week (do spot checks for nocturnal copulation); probably pretty safe to take him out permanently. Good luck and post updated pics if she starts to show signs.

thanks for the reply, she has not eaten in about a month and a half to two months. She, i believe, ovulated. I saw that she swelled up for some time, then "shrunk" back to almost normal. this lasted less the one full day I believe. The two's interest level is low. they lay together but I have not seen any action in some time. they were locked up for two weeks or so about a month ago. thanks again. also how do you post pics it doesnt look like the first one went through.

you have to make sure that the resolution is smaller than 1024 and image size is less than 150kb to post in the forums; otherwise, you can download them from the net or your computer's saved files.

She is a normal about 6.5 foot and he's hypo about 5 foot. i'm excited this will be my first boa clutch. Thanks again.
