Congrats on holding your first dragon.. that's way cool. It's always wild to hold hatchlings for awhile then go pick up an adult.. it's like uhhhh that's different.

Supplies are looking good, just a note. I'd recommend getting a dual 48" flourescent fixture. One for UVB, and one for just a regular bright white regular flourescent bulb. That will add extra light to the cage and help keep your dragon happy and showing his true colors.

Post some pix once you get one and have the cage setup. Would love to see it.

Well, it looks like you got everything you should need to start, actually that is a better list then most have to start out, lol. That was really nice of that person to have you come over and see, and hold their dragon. At least now you know what you are in for, lol. They certainly are the best lizards that I ever kept, and I'm sure you'll enjoy having one. Have you decided if you wanted a baby or juvi/adult? If you get a baby it might take some effort to get it as comfortable with handling as the one you might have seen, but by nature they are very sweet and docile animals. If you get an adult find out if it was handled a lot, and ask how tame it is. Having a tame dragon just makes it so much more enjoyable. At least you know where to come if you need help with any aspect of keeping your dragon happy. I know the people here were fantastic when I started with beardies. Have you looked at a few care sheets? Now is a good time before you get the animal to read up on the care it needs and the important aspects that are vital to keeping a healthy dragon. The Bearded Dragon Manual is a great book to have, and read over before buying the dragon. Good Luck. It seems your on the right track

yea, i've researched onbeardies for the last 3 months!!!!! before i got a leopard gecko i researched 2 months!!!! i think i have enough knowledge to at least get one and start taking care of it, not saying i know it all, no one could ever know everything about them!! i don't even think i know alot, but i think that after actually seeing a adult and holding one, i'm hooked and i think that i can't not get one!!! they were so awesome!!!!! but, i think i know enough to feel comfortable with owning one. and that i can now keep one with out any ditrement to it's health. i want to get an adult male. thanx for everyones help and great compliments!!!!!!
