what's up with marmaratus waters?

MikeT Jan 17, 2007 06:24 PM

Anyone know about any marmaratus (sp) water monitors out there. There were some hatched about a year or so ago. I'm wondering if anyone knows where any are what they look like? Pics??
Any info on this these appreciated.

marmaratus is the largest and most common of the Philippine water monitors. they're dark in color and not as large or pretty as the Indo, mala, thai water monitors. i would imagine they're very rare in the states because the Philippines doesn't allow their animals to be exported.
sorry no pics right now as i am in the middle of the ocean at this time. do a search on google and i'm sure you'll find something. cheers
