I'm not sure how old they are. I got them about a month ago from Luke Campbell and he said they were adults when he recieved them. He had them for a little over a year. When I first posted them FR said the male looked old and I'm pretty sure he is fairly old. He doesn't eat as often as the female. But I'll tell ya the are great monitors and a true pleasure to have. I got an excellent deal on them so no complaints here. I work with Luke's Dad and for some personal reasons Luke was getting out of the hobby for a while and wanted to make sure they would go to a good home, so I scored huge. I got them with the same setup he kept them in, so not much stress on the move, and I'm pretty sure the female started cycling last week because the male was all over her, she has been tunneling like crazy and stopped eating two days ago. She is looking kinda big in the lower abdomen area so I'm excited! Time will tell, or my inexperince is glowing. I have over 15 years with reptiles but I'm a newbie with proper monitor husbandry.
Cheers,

Is that an 8 foot oval stock tank? How is it working for your flavies. I have my young'n gouldi cross in a 6 foot and was wondering if when he retires that one if I should go for a homebuilt or a bigger stock.

Yes it's 8 x 3 1/2 and seems to be working, although I would like to give them even more room but currently I'm maxed out on available space. I was thinking of building a wooden frame that can sit on top about 1 1/2 feet so that I can make the substrate deeper. I think it would be cool if I could put the stock tank on wheels and just slide it out from the other half of the cage. I just don't know about the weight. I think that it currently weighs about 1500 lbs. How many skateboard wheels do you think I need (hahahahahah)? Well that is probably not too realistic, but its fun to think about.
Best,
Jason
