How long after ovulation till the pre lay shed and how long after the pre lay till i have eggs? Im expecting a clutch of pos het albinos and my norm female is pretty fat all the sudden. She did just eat a sunday but she looks fatter today than she did yesterday. Is there any way i can be 100% this is ovulation and not just a rat chilling in her gut? She looks fattest about half way down her body and i would think her rat would have passed this point by now... Any help is great5ly appreciated.

They usually shed about 10-15 days after ovulation and lay the eggs around 30 days later...

On general they will stop eating well before they ovulate. My one girl though ate up until 2 weeks before ovulation last year, the rest usually stop a month or more before ovulation.
