Anyone had try those bulbs? Are they only produce heat?

Looks like a good price? Have to check Home Depot.
Those are just standard halogen flood light bulbs. I use them to illuminate my backyard at night.
As the ad states they produce light and heat. They are not Mercury Vapor and therefore produce no usable UVB.
I saw some Mercury Vapor bulbs online but they dont said those bulbs are for reptile. And they are much more cheaper than Mercury Vapor for reptile such as powersun Mercury Vapor lamp.
Are they still the same as producing heat and UVB?
One more question, can I get any heat bulb at homedepot? What is the name of those bulb? Im tired to using the reptile heat bulb because it is expensive and I only used them for 2-3 months.
Thanks
I use standard household incandescent bulbs for the heat for my dragons and a Reptisun 10 light for the UV. This will save you some money. A 4 pack of bulbs from walmart is less than $1, and the strip light is about $20, but they last for 6 months.

Not all Mercury Vapor bulbs produce enough UVB for reptiles. So for UVB you need either a reptile Mercury Vapor Bulb like the powersun or a reptile UVB flourescent like the Reptisun 10.0.
I don't believe in Mercury Vapor unless your habitat is very large and tall. Mercury Vapor bulbs are very bright and can case eye discomfort or damage if too close. The advantage is that they can push UVB much further than say a Reptisun 10.0 that is good to only 20". All bulbs should be replaced at least yearly.
All incandescent bulbs produce heat and light. So you can use anything you want that works for you. I feel that those flood light bulbs are awfully big and heavy. But I guess it depends on your setup. I have combination hoods above all my tanks with regular incandescent bulbs to provide the background heat. I regulate with a thermostat per tank. I use zoo med 50W spotlights on dimmers to provide basking spots but any small spot would probably be fine.
I know that halogen lights can get pretty hot. I would just stick with a regular incandescent bulb for heat. Also, aren't they know for having an intense beam of light?

I found a halogen bulb at pet smart that is both a heating bulb and a uvb bulb. I am only using this at the moment because i think my hood freaked out and now the new UVB bulb wont work...goodbye $20. I am also using the repcal calcium with D3 supplement on his live food.
Maybe that would work. It was 12 bucks but its good for a year.
Another poster pointed out previously. All bulbs put out UVA and UVB. The problem is the UVB must be of the proper wave length and volume for it to be metabolized by your Bearded Dragon.
Only mercury vapor bulbs specially designed for reptiles and flourecent bulbs specially designed for reptiles do this. Then it is up to you to use them properly. Meaning as little obstruction possible and proper distance from animal.
Mercury Vapor come in either spot or flood lights from various manufacturers.
It doesn't sound like yours is suitable but if you list the brand and bulb name I will be happy to check it out for you.
