im guessing its an infected hepi...w/e but is this just unlucky, something with his habitat or what? any ways im talking to a vet stil lwould like opinons tho. I generly dont like vets, usally the lizard comes out with stress problems.

Sounds to me like a rectal prolapse. If it is a prolapse, saoking just its rear end in sugar water should make it go back in. I volunteered at the Baltimore Zoo for 6 years and that is what we did with the reps and amphs. Just as a personnal example: I was out hiking at Pyramid Lake, NV and caught a fence lizard to check him out. I sat him on a tree and he had a prolapse. I didn't have any sugar water but I did have a Coke. So I dripped it on him and it went right back in. And he was fine. But of course you always want to have a vet check him out. Good luck

Any chance you can get a pic? I am sure we could sort it out with a photo. My male ackies will evert and wag their tails around while dragging their vent across substrate and basking furniture. The also have some strange mannerisms when doing this. Very similar to what i see when they display dominance behavior. I believe they are marking their territory when they do that. If you have any doubts about what is going on though take it to the vet.

Oh, and I don't think blood is normal, that was the part that would concern me.

He's looking good now he took a really big dump at the end of last night and now is moving around eating and acting normal. I think i'm still going to bring him to the vet on monday since the only good vet is closed this weekend. But could constipation cause his anus, or hemipenes to pop out?
