CRUD on the glass!

imindawoods1 Jan 18, 2007 03:52 PM

HEY ALL,
In general, we are doing quite well with our hatchling lewisi and rhino iguana. They are eating, shedding and nice and active. However, as they are only about 4 months old, they each reside in a nice 75 gal tank. What is the crud that I cannot remove from the glass on the inside of the tank? I know about salt, but could it become an integral part of the glass or what? I am going insane trying to use anything non-harmful like water/vinegar but it is still there, especially when the lights are on......it looks clouded and weird
What's the deal on this and will anything take it off?
Thanks!
Carol

A water/viniger mix has worked quite well for me many years. Maybe you are not using enough viniger. Rinse with strait water afterwards, it should work.

A little sand paper works good too. Lol
