The Easterns were wide awake today, their first day at room temperature in 6 weeks, they've been laying in the sand with their ribs stretched out as though trying to absorb heat, and digging furiously in the corners of their tank.

I noticed when I got home from work that one of them did a sand poo (with a calcium blob in it too). I was devastated, they havent been on sand since November/Early December. I was thankful that they both seemed ok, and that it was not undigested food that might have rotted in their insides, nonetheless, it is concerning, is there anything I can/should do? It has clearly been in the digestive system since before brumation at least 7 weeks ago (I put them on tortoise pellets after they were licking the viv a lot, and pooing sand to be sure they were clear 10 days before allowing them to sleep).

They both had a drink this morning, I hope they will pass any more that might be lingering, or that if they eat next week that might help it to pass, I didnt want to bath them as they seemed really skittish and paranoid of any movement, any advice?

They are waking up and are active, so just continue warming them and offering water until they are ready to eat. You are doing just everything just right, so stop worrying!

I suppose my 3 girls are fine! We dropped by the Vet for a weighing today and Snicket was still at the same weight, Chimera had lost a few grams, and Mariah had gained a few grams. I forgot to ask when we had last weighed them but it has certainly been a few months. Mariah is going to be a big chunky Texas girl and has quit her nose-banging. She has some scarring and kind of a "smooshed" look to her nose now. Snicket and Chimera come from a line of small lizards and will not get as big as Mariah. Everyone eats, sheds, basks, is active and looks healthy, so I am just going to keep a better eye on their weight for now. I deprived them of a nap this year because I am SELFISH and I wanted to watch them. How are you and your crew?

Great to hear that all's well in your neck of the woods. Over here things are pretty good--busy, but good. I haven't brumated anyone, so they're all up looking at me all of the time. I wouldn't know to do if they weren't!

I'm sorry I never get around to pictures. I've been sick and just don't feel like doing anything above what I absolutely have to. One of these days, I promise. The Vet tells me not to worry about my little girls not adding weight. He caught them in a place he has been watching and the lizards there are just quite small. He says they won't get much bigger. Maybe I'll start a "miniature collared" business once I get a male. LOL

Hi, Eve

I've had to take a lot of pictures for people interested in my kittens, but I haven't taken any of the collareds in a while. Since you asked for pics, I figured I'd oblige; please forgive me for it being off topic!

Here are two of my youngsters meeting for the first time:

Well, yes and no. One of them I intended to keep all along. We named her Heaven, and she lives up to her name, she is such a sweet little girl. Two others, who went to a new home together, ended up coming back to me because their new mom found out she was terribly allergic. I still have one of them, and she's a sweetie, too.

I'm glad you liked the picture. I just trying to take pictures of the little one when the older one jumped in front of the camera. I didn't even know what a cute picture I had accidentally taken until I was reviewing the shots on my computer. It was the cutest of them all, and it was a complete accident.
