clear tubes

zach_whitman Jan 18, 2007 09:59 PM

OK where do people find clear plastic tubes? like the kind usually used to handle venemous snakes. The home depot, lows, and local hardware guys don't have anything like that. Aside from snake handling what the heck else would those be used for?
cheers

I've gotten 4' florescent bulb saver tubes at Menards that were clear..one size only. The Bean Farm has them, different sizes but it seems they were a tad pricey.

I feel I should clairify the statement about them being a "tad pricey"...I did NOT mean that The Bean Farm was a "tad pricey" but I thought the tubes, in general were. I've ordered from The Bean Farm's web site and got GREAT service. Hope I didn't offend "The Bean Store Gods". (whew)

Zach, we have clear plastic rigid tubing at the store in all different diameters, we sell it for filters but it should work for a snake on the smaller side, i dont think we have anything for an adult snake though

I bought mine many years ago at a store that sells glass and plastics. They had a variety of sizes of thick clear plastic tubes and they cut them to order. Find a glass shop.

The ones used for handling venomous stuff can be purchased from Midwest Tongs, and perhaps other places:
