What's a good source for expanded pvc, pvcx, sintra board, etc? I plan on making tray's for the bottom of my cages using 1/4 expanded pvc. I live in the Wash DC suburbs.
Also, what's a good bonding agent to use to fasten it to wood or mdf? Thanks...

I would look up plastic distributors, of which there should be several in your area. Since you plan to bond them to wood I assume the trays won't be removable? If so, I would use a thinner expanded PVC.
Or, if you want an under-tank heat source, then use the 1/4" and laminate it over a large cutout in the wooden floor.
I would use contact cement or FRP adhesive to bond the plastic to the wood.

If you make tray fit inside the cage with little play, you can just let it float and not bond it, as long as the edges are sealed with caulk.
Also, I tried plain old Liquid Nails on expanded PVC to wood, and it holds well enough especially for a floor application, and is removable if needed which makes it nice.
There is another general purpose construction adhesive by Locktite. It is white in color. That works very well too in that it is plenty strong but not absolutely permanent if you needed to replace the plastic.
Have you guys used PL200 construction adhesive for this purpose? I have used it for bonding FRP to wood and it works well. I prefer it over Liquid Nail or the Loctite product, and it's cheaper too.
Cheers
