Male/female solved?????

Buggzter Jan 19, 2007 08:36 PM

Heh, I'm back. We took the two to the pet store and were told that Jewel is in fact a male, and Jeff thinks Spike to be a female (smaller femoral pores/"barbs?"... I still have my doubts. YET, I did find a for-sure-female close to where I live... Question tho - she's fiesty and bites fingers, but she calms down once she's held. Does anyone think she may calm down at all, or should I decide to NOT get her at all because of her temper? Thanks all! I'll put up new pics as I can... oh, and the female I found is GORGEOUS! Kacky base with black, and her collars are black with thin fire streaks! I like her, just not the temper... lol!

If it bites, it is probably more normal than one that doesn't. Collared lizareds have that about their temperament. This is normal, and if I were to purchase a wildcaught collared, I would want one that tries to bite me. They will definately calm down after they get away from that type of environment they are in and get accustomed to getting fed by the scary hand...no offense meant to your hand
