Pacman: Sand and moss as a substrate?

Snoopfrog Aug 10, 2003 03:59 AM

Using right now sand (sterilized) and moss for my pacman, just wondering if this would be ok?
Any comments/answers or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

No sand is just as bad about causing impactions as gravel is. Think of how it sticks to your skin and then think of how it's gonna stick to the insides of your frog. He will swallow lots of this as a substrate and most probobly die of impaction. And it depends on what kind of moss you are using. Try bed-a-beast or other amphibian safe beddings, aside from wood chips.
