Those are awesome looking snakes and the pics are great too. I'm so glad they finally arrived. Sean and Celia and great to work with and they have a really nice collection. Good luck with these two Brian and Chrissy.

Congrats, they are very nice looking! The spider looks very clean and the het pied will help you get closer to that pied that I know you both are looking forward to hatching out.

Best of luck with them!

Havic,

Were those first two shots done on a piece of glass over cloth?

Yes Jay it was acrilic over cloth. It was Chrissy Idea on that because we could not find what I wanted to use. But don't worry I am always looking for better back ground lol.

I was thinking of doing the same. But does it cause that double-reflection?

Thats what I noticed. It looks cool but like you said.

Now if anybody can point me in the direction of some black acrilic that would be cool.

I need to set up a spot in my house to where I shoot my animals. all the back ground lighting etc.

Those are some nice snakes. You cannot have too many Het Pied females, and I for sure would love 10 more Spider females. Nice pics too, what kind of camera and lense?

Dave

EmberBall Jan 20, 2007 02:26 PM

Never mind, saw you are using a Nikon, nice pics, you do not need another lense

havic Jan 20, 2007 02:29 PM

Your right I don't need one but (new toys) I want one lol

And thank you

I think I have decided to get the new Pentax K10D, but still not 100% sure. The Nikon D80 is awesome, but it does not have the anti shake or dust vibration that the Pentax has. Do you think the Anti Shake is all that important, espcially if you get a tripod? The VR lenses from Nikon are just so $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.
What lense are you thinking about buying?

Anyone in So Cal with the Pentax want to start a lense club, we each buy one different lense and share

Dave

havic Jan 20, 2007 02:42 PM

there were a couple I was looking at but I am going to reasearch a little more befor I buy.

And antishake I think is good to have like most of my shots are hand held and I am not that steady lol. So I end up deletting more than I would like. Are you sure the D-80 dosn't have antie shake? I know the D-70 does and I am not sure anout the new D-40 that is replacing the D-50.

I was under the impression that none of the Nikons had the antishake in the camera body. I know the D80 does not have it, if it did, the D80 would be in my house right now. I think the Sony A100 and Pentax are the two that have it in body. Canon has the dust removal system in the Rebel XTi, and the lense based IS system in the lense is much cheaper than Nikon. The D80 was my favorite to hold, but the Pentax is just amazing too.

Dave

havic Jan 20, 2007 07:08 PM

You know I may just have to check it out it sounds like a cool camera.

Yea don't quote me on the anti shake thing lol
