Hope you enjoyed,

Cool collection. Do you have locales for them? The first one looks like a River road animal and the last one is bizarre.
Thanks for posting.

Hi,

no. 1 is River road, indeed. No. 2 is HW 277, no. 3, 4, 5 are Langtry, they turn really dark, I hope they end black. No. 6, 7 are Juno Roads, no crosses for sure and no. 8 and 9 are generics, but lovely.

Thanks,

Gerrit

Thise are some real beauties indeed!! Thanks for sharing the photos. I second Rick's opinion on that last one!! Bizarre. Any data?? I am not being critical, as it is a gorgeous snake, but the 7th photo looks like a cross to me?? Do you have locale or breeding data? Thanks again. H

Hi,

the history on the dark one is told in a few words. He was offered to me 2 years ago from a "rattler" guy who bred it in a clutch of normal blairs. At that time I was not interested but a friend of mine bought him. I bought the snake from my friend last year. Unfortunally there is no locality.

And not just the alterna, but the rest of what you have pictured on your web site.

Thanks for sharing with all of us.

BTW, do you ever get chance to make it out and field collect. A trip to someplace like Sanderson TX during the right time of the year is more than just a snake hunting trip, it is social gathering of herpers...

Thanks for your comment,

I never made a trip since I have the longest way of all to travel, but think about going to Texas this summer.

Keeping and breeding animals is one thing, but adding something to your collection that you found is a whole new level of appreciation. And even a dry hunt still gives you a chance to see the habitat.

Let us know if / when you are coming out, I am sure that a group will be out in the area and would be happy to welcome you.
