Breeding Slowed?

Slamdaccord96 Jan 20, 2007 07:56 PM

My female has not laid an egg since November and I was wondering if the drop in temperature had anything to do with this. It is usually around 65-68 degrees in their room and an egg laying container is available. There have been no diet changes either and both are eating well. Anyone else notice this change too or could there be another reason? (This pic is of my male)

Your female has shut down for the year. Usually at those temps breeding stops. My breeders have been cooled (low 70s) for a couple of months now to allow for recuperation. To get breeding started again warm up the temps gradually until they are in the high 70s (78 is max temp cresteds get in the wild). Then breeding ensues.
