derekfx Aug 10, 2003 07:30 AM

at the reptile show in hamburg pa last week i bought a 4 inch albino and a young leo that looks like a high yellow jungle (she was only $10!!!!) , the non-albino baby eats like a pig! but the albino baby shows no interest in food the only time she ate was when i dropped a few crickets in his container on the way home from the show. now its liek he doesnt even notice the food is even there.... he hasnt eaten for days........ last night i put him in a butter tub over night with 2 crickets just to see if he would eat them but it didnt work........ what can i do????? if there is anything i can do explain it step by step i dont want to loose him.

Have you tried a varied diet? Such as mealworms, waxworms rather than just crickets. His past owner could have fed them mealworms and waxworms rather than crickets. So therefore he might not be interested in them (crickets). Also how long have you had it?

yea i have tryed mealworms also.. he dont even notice they are there. can i force feed him and if i can how? he hasnt eaten for a week im worried because he is very young.

What is you set up (substrate, hides, etc) and temps and are the geckos together or seperate

Do you have them housed together? Sometimes the more aggressive gecko will intimidate the other one...and albinos tend to be docile.

yea he is separate from the others .. hes in a rubbermaid container with paper towels as substrate water dish, calcium dish , wed hide , dry hide, and a bowl of mealworms and i try feeding crickets as well but no interest is shown......... if i have to force feed how is it done??
