Rescued Burm...interesting bumps on skin

goini04 Jan 21, 2007 12:30 AM

I am aware that there is absolutely no way to give a 100% accurate determination as to what this could be by looking at the photo most likely, however, I thought I would get your opinions. I recieved this burm a few days ago and it came with what appears to be a small rodent bite on the lower scales. But above it (about a quarter inch) are two bumps that I believe might be associated with it.

From what I can gather, they are probably abscesses, or some type of other bacterial infection which could possibly be associated with the bite.

I have a schedule with a vet, but there is only one vet that I trust and I can't get in until tuesday at 4PM. So I thought I would get some opinions from others while I wait.

Here is a photo that I hope will help.

Chris

I seen a Red Tail Boa about 10 months ago in a pet store with bumps like that. It was from a rat bitting him, but he had been brought to a vet an had surgery preformed also. Anyway it looks like the same thing to me.

most likely abscesses from a bite or tumors. less likely swelling from broken ribs.
